48 hours without internet access. A new router (which needed to be bought anyway). Three calls to yell at hapless support drones at the cable company. Multiple configurations to figure out what the cause of the problem is.
The result? 3-foot stretch of co-ax cable: 1, Dad: 0.
Guh.
update 9/18: it wasn’t as fixed as I’d hoped. Tech guy coming to the house today.

Ammendment to TV Post
Michael pointed out that we can’t possibly watch that much tv. This is true. But with the help of TiVo and the internet we can watch what we want anytime we want without commercials. This means 40 minutes instead of an hour, even less if I skip over boring stuff or charcters I don’t care about and the theme song and the recap. So I guess that makes it more like 30 minutes. It also means we can save a season and watch it in June if we want. And we do. We just finished last season’s Lost. I will probably at least watch the first episode to see if it’s something worth the space to record. This means I watch it and tell Michael if it’s something he might like. And since the channels so nicely space out the premeres I can fit a weeks worth of new shows in before the next week. So anyway, none of you need to worry that I will be chained to the tv this fall just to watch all that stuff.

Another Friday Night
Ok so I didn’t get to post as much last week as I thought I would. So much for being a junkie. Michael’s at work again. Sorry, he’s closing, I hope for all our sakes this doesn’t mean a full detailed list of every house he goes to tonight. If he does I guess none of us will need an Ambien.
I’m up late tonight. I worked 5-8 and had a large ice lattee before I went to work now I’ll be up all night. Unless Michael gives me a full report of his deliveries. I had excess energy after work and was pretty goofy with the kids. The kids were with when I got the coffee so I blamed that. Wacko told me “I like it when you drink.” I guess it’s a good thing that coffee is as strong as he’ll ever see me drink.
I win world’s best mom award from Yacko. I found a sound track from Drake and Josh. Yacko and Wacko have sang Soul Man all day after watching Drake and Josh sing it. I can’t wait to play it in the morning for them. Maybe if I play my cards right I can get them to clean the toy room before I play it for them. Well, a girl can dream.
I guess I’m gonna go now. I found a full file of Madonna covers. I love it!
